Head Brewer

After putting a 10yr professional music career to rest at its peak in 2014 I cried for 6 months straight…I’m only half kidding. While sitting at the counter of a local craft brewery staring into my pint glass I wiped away the last tear and decided to do something about it. Through what was probably shear luck and definitely not my confusing resume that only referenced record labels and music industry professionals I got my first brewing assistant job. Since then a lot has happened.

I have brewed at Salish Sea, was Production Manager/Brewer at Urban Family, and have spent most of my time being the Innovation Brewer for Black Raven. I’ve had the chance to collaborate on recipe design with tons of breweries. Ranging from as big as Firestone Walker down to my home town Anacortes Brewing and everything in between.

Now I only cry about bad beer and when my favorite sports teams lose. I have never home brewed and intend to keep it that way. I love cats, beer, canned fish, and my wife and kids. To quote Hunter S. Thompson “Good people drink good beer”.
